Max number of links not working

First, this is an awesome plugin. Thanks!

My problem is that I can't seem to hard cap the number of links displayed on my sidebar ( http://notesondevelopment.com ). I've set the "Max number of bookmarks per category" to various numbers and it has no effect. At first I thought maybe I should consolidate all my links into a single category and just display the one category---that didn't work. Then I increased the time-out delay, but that also didn't work. Tried both the single and multi-category widgets, and still no luck.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I want to display the latest X number of links from my blogroll of X+Y links.

    Thanks for your help!

Perfect! Switching from Classic -> Blogger style worked! And of course it was the one thing I didn't try...

    Thanks Jan,

Hiya, I'm having the same problem - where do I go to change from Classic to Blogger?

Ok - sorry I found that I was on 'minimal'. Howwever I have changed that now but I am still not getting a list of only 10 posts as requested. Also I do not get the last updated date or the post title.

Is it something to do with the Java problem I have does anyone know what I need to do to fix this.

All you need to know is described here: http://wiki.weinschenker.name/feedreadingblogroll:installation

Use your ftp-programm to make your content-directory writable as described in my wiki.
